SPORTING youngsters from across the borough will be competing in trials next month to secure places in the Merseyside Youth Games being held on July 8 and 9.
Boys hockey trials for year groups nine - 10 will be held on Friday, May 12 and May 19 between 4 and 5.15pm at Selwyn Jones Leisure Centre, Ashton Road, Newton-le- Willows.
Basketball trials for year eight children will be held on Sunday, May 14 and May 21 at Broadway Leisure Centre, Grange Park between 12.30 and 2pm.
Girls hockey trials for year groups nine and 10 will be held on Thursdays, May 11 and May 18 between 4.30 and 6pm at Ruskin Drive Leisure Centre, St Helens.
