A TOP class gala concert is being staged on Friday, April 28 at the Formby Hall, Atherton.
The last fund-raising effort in a programme of events to make Atherton Parish's August flower festival even better, it will feature songs, dance and music.
Enthusiastic Geoff Swift, a member of the St Phillip's Singing Group who will perform, said the two hour event would be compered by Carlton Catterall and feature a variety of entertainment with a British Isles theme including the Last Night at the Proms.
Youthful Irish dancers, a Welsh harpist, Scottish bagpipes, traditional English pieces from Mavis Aldred and the St Phillip's company plus a piano recital are on the programme.
Tickets cost £4 and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
