COMBINE breathtaking trapeze, amazing acrobats and fiery Flamenco dancers with a heart full of Mediterranean passion and OLE! you've got some of the greatest Spanish circus artistes performing at the seaside for an Easter egg-stravaganza.

Circus Ole steps into the ring at The Globe theatre at the Pleasure Beach on Thursday(April 20) in its first ever UK tour and promises to set pulses racing over the next ten days with its mixture of death-defying skill and sultry Spanish flavour.

Circus director Tonia Cristo explained why she chose Blackpool to premier her talented troupe: "I've been to Blackpool many times and immediately knew the setting at The Globe was perfect for us.

"Mind you we've had quite a bit of work to sort out our high trapeze etc and we have no safety net which makes it more exciting. "We have been preparing our show for two years now and every act has been chosen very carefully to offer a fantastic experience for all ages.

"All of Circus Ole are Spanish and this really gives the whole show a different feel than normal circuses. We have real passion and glamour and it flows through into our performances. We're bringing the feel of sun-drenched Spain to the shores of Blackpool."

A former trapeze artist herself, Tonia now prefers to take the reins and make sure everything runs smoothly.

And with a whole host of strongmen, clowns, flaming hoops and tightrope walkers to keep an eye on she is certainly kept busy.

Check out Circus Ole at The Globe Theatre from April 25-May 1 with show times at 1pm, 4.45pm and 7.30pm 21-24 and 29/30/01 and two shows daily other dates.
