TALENTED members of St Helens Youth Brass Band have reached the final of the Radio Two Youth Band of the Year competition. The band, who practise at Cowley High School, will now travel to Loughborough on Saturday, May 6 to compete in the final, which will also be recorded live for Radio 2. The station will also be broadcasting the performance that won the band a place in the final, on their 'Listen to the Band' programme, on Friday, May 19.
