A NEW, single-storey school on the present site of Bleak Hill Primary at Windle has moved nearer following approval by St Helens Council's Planning Committee.
The new school will be more centrally located within the site and have a pentagon-like shape. Junior and infant playgrounds will be situated to the west and east of the new building respectively.
There will also be a running track and football field while a habitat trail will be provided to the south of the new school building towards Windle Brook.
A car park is also to be provided from the main entrance for staff and visitors.
