LANCASHIRE county development bosses are raising no objection to the multi-million pound plan to re-develop Colne's North Valley with new shops and housing.
But they do want to see more green space on the site of the former Stonebridge and Langroyd mills.
The scheme, which has already received Pendle council approval includes the erection of five shops, a call centre, veterinary surgery, car showroom, two restaurant/takeaways and 19 houses.
A report to Wednesday's meeting of the county development control committee for observations, says the proposed mixed development of a brownfield site complies with the policies of the structure plan.
