AS A regular traveller to away games to watch the Clarets, I was reading Brentford's matchday programme on the way home and I couldn't help but notice the price for Brentford's away trip to neighbours Gillingham the following week.
The trip of approximately 45 miles was priced at an over-the-top rate of £12 -- £9.50 for Lifeline members, season ticket holders, members, etc.
Compare this with the £14 I paid to see Burnley at Brentford the other week.
It just goes to show the difference in price for a club like Brentford which has limited support and Burnley whose away support (and at home) is second to none.
