VINE Amateur Rugby League Club's official move to their new ground on Thatto Heath Primary School, was a star-studded occasion when television producer, Phil Redmond and some of the stars of his shows paid them a visit.
Phil, the chairman of Mersey Television, is the club's official sponsor and he brought Brookside actors, Leon Lopez and Suzanne Collins (better known as Jerome Johnson and Nicky Shadwick), and James Redmond and Natalie Casey who play Finn and Carol in Hollyoaks.
The five, who met pupils and teachers at the school during their visit, are pictured here on the playing field with Frank Barrow, the founder of Vine. (Ref. 403)
