FORTON teenager Tom Boardman finished in a fine eighth place in the sixth round of the national saloon car championship at Kent's famous Brands Hatch circuit.
Qualifying problems left Boardman's Peugeot 306 GTi6 at the back of the grid, but he took advantage of a red flag to catch up with the rest of the field.
He said: "It was an amazing race, but I kept out of trouble and there isn't a mark on the car."
