A WHITEFIELD company has quite literally had to deal with a flood of business.
Carringtons Claims Consultants, who handle insurance claims on behalf of domestic policy holders spent most of Monday (June 5) assisting flood hit residents of Calderdale sort through their insurance claims.
Carringtons, based in Bury New Road, have been established in the area for more than 10 years and are soon to launch an insurance claim web site.
Senior partner Steve Allen says " Its very flattering to be the first ones to be contacted in an emergency like this.
"We also handled many of the claims following the flash floods at Chorley last August."
He added: "Very often, people really don't know what they are entitled to claim for on their policy and end up with less than than their full entitlement."
The company operates a theft, fire and flood help line.
