NORTH End manager David Moyes has pledged his future to the club following speculation over the latest moves in the managerial merry-go-round.

Moyes was linked with the Sheffield Wednesday job, and was thought to be second choice after ex-Wimbledon supremo Joe Kinnear, who has since turned the job down, slamming the club as 'unambitious'.

And the departure of Martin O'Neill to Scottish giants Celtic again saw the young Scot linked with a move to Leicester -- a club with a large amount of cash to throw around.

North End chiefs have always stated that Moyes would stay at the club, citing his new contract as evidence -- but the worry from fans was that bigger clubs had the money to buy out his contract.

Speaking at a supporters' meeting this week, Moyes said: "This is a wonderful job and I am delighted to be doing it.

"I am humbled to be given the chance to manage Preston North End. I want to stay here and want to stay as manager.

"I am hoping that we can go on and take another big step forward in the coming season."

PNE chairman Bryan Gray added: "David Moyes is involved in our future. He wants to be part of a successful football club and I want to be the chairman of a successful football club."
