PRESTON are preparing for Premiership football.

The Second Division Champions have got what is seen as one of the hottest properties in football in their manager David Moyes -- who has quashed rumours that he may leave Deepdale -- and they have just been granted planning permission to build a 30,000 seater stadium.

Scot Moyes has been linked with almost every top managerial vacancy going -- just recently Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City.

But the 37-year-old said neither club has approached him: "This is a wonderful job I've got here and I'm delighted to be doing the job in the first place. I feel very humbled that I was given the opportunity to manage here and at the moment I would like to stay at Preston North End and continue my managerial career here."

He has told the North End fans not to believe everything they hear -- especially in connection with influential skipper Sean Gregan, linked with a number of top flight clubs.

"We have had no offer for Sean Gregan and, if there was an offer, we would turn it down anyway. Some of the figures that have been branded about in the press are absolutely ridiculous and I'm sure intelligent North End supporters will treat them with a pinch of salt."

Meanwhile, Preston Borough Council have given North End planning permission to redevelop Deepdale into a Premier stadium.
