I'M Alan Davies and I'm writing to Journal readers with a special appeal. Scope (formerly the Spastics Society) is looking for 100 volunteers to take part in a fantastic 400km cycle ride in Kenya, during February 2001.
The Kenya Bike Away is a challenging six day ride through the Great Rift Valley, starting from Mt Kenya. Spectacular scenery and wildlife are guaranteed on this African adventure as you cross savannah plains, pass Masai villages and camp beneath extinct volcanoes.
Flights, bikes, food and accommodation are provided. All Journal readers need to do is raise sponsorship for adults and children with cerebral palsy. Places are limited, so call 08000 191 200 now for an information pack.
What a fantastic way to support Scope's important work.
