POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an apparently motiveless attack in which a 21-year-old man was knocked to the floor in a town-centre pub. The incident happened in the The Sefton Arms at about 11pm on Saturday, July 1 when a man walked up to the victim and punched him, knocking him off his stool. As he fell, he banged his head against a brass rail.
Anyone able to help police with their inquiries can contact DC Mick Bowes at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6062.
