A TEENAGE girl claims she was indecently assaulted as she walked home in the early hours of Sunday, July 2.
The 17-year-old says her ordeal started as she walked under a bridge in Park Road, Newton-le-Willows, shortly after 2.15am.
After feeling some hands grab her shoulders and push her head forward, she says she was then dragged into an alley-way off nearby Acorn Street by two men who subjected her to an indecent assault before making their escape. She described both men as about 5ft 6/5ft 7ins tall with medium builds. One had dark, close-cropped hair and wore dark jeans and a dark T-shirt, while the other had fair or multi-coloured hair and wore dark jeans and a white T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Bev Burgess at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6064 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
