A COLLECTION of Blackburn Rovers programmes dating from 1921 have astounded auctioneers Sotheby's by reaching more than twice their expected price.
The programmes -- including one for the 1928 FA Cup Final when Rovers beat Huddersfield -- fetched £3,360 when they were sold in London yesterday to a private collector from Lancashire. Pre-sale estimate was £1,600.
Other programmes in the collection were for matches against Bolton in 1921-22, Brentford in 1935-36 and Luton in 1937-38.
