WITNESSES are being sought by Traffic police after a driver suffered serious injuries in a weekend crash.
Alan Young from Scott Road in Prestwich was rushed to North Manchester General Hospital during the early hours of Saturday (July 8) before he was transferred to an intensive care unit at Royal Oldham Hospital.
The 23-year sustained severe head injuries when his Hyundi car collided with a parked Volvo estate in Park Road at Prestwich.
Mr Young's passenger, Matthew Ashworth, also aged 23, of Wilton Drive, Hollins, suffered cuts to his right arm as a result of the collision. He was taken to North Manchester General Hospital but released after treatment.
The cause of the accident is not yet known and traffic police are waiting to speak to Mr Young whose condition is said to be improving.
