TILLY the goat is recovering after a weekend kid-nap ordeal.
She disappeared from her shed on Saturday (July 8) but was found "nanny" the worse for wear after a night roaming fields in the Limefield area of Bury.
Now Bury's boys in blue, the old bill-y, are investigating her vanishing act.
Tilly was found the following morning and taken to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary where she was collected by owner Mrs Pamela Hopwood.
Mrs Hopwood, who owns a small holding off Lowes Road, Bury, said: "I was frantic with worry when she disappeared.
"The shed was still secure so it was obvious she had been taken and had not simply escaped.
"The weather was terrible on Saturday night. I was really concerned that children had taken her and dumped her."
Pamela, pictured with Tilly after being reunited with the goat, added: "She did not seem too upset. I am just glad to have her back."
