SCHOOL secretary Kathleen Nield has left a career spanning 26 years armed with a set of luggage to help her travel the world.
The popular member of staff at Ashleigh Primary School, Darwen, also received flowers on the last day of term.
Headteacher Pauline Livesey said: "Kathleen will be greatly missed by us all. She has been the school secretary at Ashleigh for 26 years and past members of staff came to the presentation and buffet.
"It was a joint leaving day because Year 6 were also finishing at the school."
