ORGANISERS of a pre-season curtain raiser football event have promised that this year's event is going to be even better.
Sponsored by Forbes Solicitors and Bookers Cash and Carry, the tournament at Blacksnape playing fields in Darwen will be held over two days.
Again it is being organised by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
The tournament will take place on August 26-27 and is open to junior boys and girls team and senior mens and ladies.
Entry fees are £15 for under nines, 10s and 11s, £20 for under 12s, 13s and 14s, £25 for 15s, 16s and 18s and £35 for seniors and ladies teams.
There is also a girls competition for under 12s, 14s and 16s.
