HOUSEHOLDERS were left without water for more than 24 hours after their supply was turned off.
Supplies were cut in Lower Darwen -- and North West Water bosses were flooded with complaints.
A North West Water spokesman said a fault had developed on a 16-inch main and workmen were called in to rectify the problem.
