A COURT heard how a defendant on community service refused to work in a charity shop but had since changed his mind -- and a judge gave him until the end of September to prove it.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Brendan Allen, 18, who has 60 hours of work remaining, had his case adjourned until September 29 by Recorder Anthony Sander, to comply with the terms of his order.
The judge said if he did so, it would be taken into account but if he continued to be "obstructive" he risked losing his liberty.
Allen, of Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle, admitted breaching the requirements of a community service order.
