AN AMBULANCE taking a patient to hospital collided with a taxi in Bacup Road, Rawtenstall early on Saturday morning.
A passenger in the taxi, Daniel Hartley, 23, of Rosedale Street, Rawtenstall, was taken to Bury General Hospital with a minor back injury but not detained.
The cab driver, Tariq Mahmood, 32, of Broughton Road, Skipton, also received hospital treatment and was later discharged. The ambulance was driven by Alfred O'Sullivan, 55, of Bacup Road, Rawtenstall.
