THE Oswaldtwistle Players have got two nominations in the North West's equivalent of the Oscars.
Gayle Knight has been nominated for best actress in a play for Steel Magnolias and Lesley Jackson for best supporting actress in a play for Steel Magnolias in the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) awards.
It is the first time for both Gayle and Lesley.
Gayle said: "It's obviously a great thrill to be nominated although in one way it's unfortunate that two of us have been singled out when Steel Magnolias was such an ensemble piece and all six actresses put in excellent performances."
The winners will be announced at the NODA awards ceremony at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors in September.
