HAVING just read your article 'schools out for Summer' I would like to say a big thank you to our local council for organising this summer's playscheme. My son Alex, who is eight, is attending the Bolton-le-Sands mobile playschemes unit at the community centre and is having an absolute ball.
If it hadn't been for me overhearing a conversation I wouldn't have known anything about the scheme. I then informed five other mums who enrolled their sons also.
All of them are keen to get there each Thursday and Friday and are loving every minute of their time there.
On their last day they have even organised a trip to Camelot only costing £5. People don't believe me when I tell them that the playscheme is free of charge. Thank you so much to our council.
