NEWCASTLE, Tottenham, Marseille, Worksop?

Chris Waddle has played at some of the world's finest stadiums in a glittering career which made him a world star. This Saturday, he's at Giant Axe for a Unibond Premier League game against Lancaster City.

Waddle, 39, is returning to his roots after starting his career working in a sausage factory while playing for Tow Law Town. But he still can't stay out of the media spotlight - only last week he made national headlines when a wayward shot, possibly even worse than his notorious penalty in Turin, smashed the window of a team-mates' car!

Kick off on Saturday is at 3pm, with City expecting a bumper crowd as Waddle comes up against their own young prodigy, Chris Ward.

Morecambe, meanwhile, travel to Doncaster Rovers. The South Yorkshire side struggled in their first conference season, but the appointment of Steve Wignall and several key signings look set to make them formidable opposition this time out.

Both Morecambe and Doncaster will have their work cut out keeping up with early leaders Rushden and Diamonds.

The moneybags outfit brushed aside fancied Southport on Monday and are now the only side with a 100 per cent record, ahead of Telford and surprise package Leigh RMI.
