ON August 29, I put a carpet out for the refuse collectors to dispose of.
When I arrived home, I found it had been taken off my wheelie bin and dumped on the floor.
I then put the carpet in the bin and again left it out for collection on September 5.
Upon returning home, I found a yellow sticker attached to the bin, informing me that it contained an 'unsafe load' and again, the bin was not emptied.
I rang Blackburn with Darwen Council to be told that if I placed the carpet in a plastic bag and left this alongside the wheelie bin, it would be collected.
The carpet was placed in a black refuse sack and placed alongside my wheelie bin. When I returned home, I found the wheelie bin empty and the bag containing the carpet still where I left it.
Do I pay my council tax to fund some kind of institute of incompetence?
A THOMPSON (Mr), Ratcliffe Street, Darwen.
