TWO talented Fylde youngsters are dancing with the stars after being picked to go on stage with pop band Atomic Kitten.
Lisa Beardsall, aged 11, from Ansdell Road North, Ansdell, and Ashley Driver, 13, of Lytham Road, Blackpool, were chosen out of 1,000 young hopefuls when they auditioned in London in August.
They will now both strut their stuff as backing dancers to the girl band on September 23 when the event, a pop awards ceremony, is recorded for the Disney Channel.
And the lucky pair will get back-stage passes to meet their favourite bands, Westlife, S-Club 7, Lolly and A1, after the show.
Ashley, a pupil at Lytham St Annes High School, pictured with Lolly and two Disney presenters, who goes to Tiptoes Theatre School, was delighted at winning a place.
Her mum Lynne said: "She is thrilled about it. She is really dedicated to singing, acting and dancing and wants to make a career out of it."
Lisa, whose favourite bands are Westlife and S Club 7, is in year 7 at Arnold School and a pupil at the Carolyn Campbell Dance School. She said: "I am thrilled at being chosen and my friends think it is great that I'll be dancing with Atomic Kitten."
