COLNE'S caretaker boss John Lister is hoping a victory over Squires Gate at Holt House tomorrow will go some way towards sealing the hotseat full time.

Lister was Denzil Hart's assistant and took over at the Colne helm when Hart and the club parted company more than a week ago.

Lister has helped his side put their first points on the board -- with a 2-1 win over Alsager last Saturday -- and things are looking better despite a 1-0 loss to Darwen midweek.

"I've tried to make a few changes. It was a relief for the players to get their first win, a few were making their debuts this season, and they enjoyed it. I'm caretaker at the moment but I'm no stranger to the players and have put in to get the job full-time and so I want to get some results."
