IN the North West Counties Division Two Bacup boss Brent Peters has snapped up the services of one of the non league's top strikers Paddy Wilson for a limited time. Wilson has come to West View from UniBond side Leek Town to get some match practice and Peter's will more than welcome him after an injury crisis has hampered Bacup's start to the season.

Peter's has also signed goalkeeper Amir Nazir from Old Rochdalians and centre half/midfielder David Esdale.

"They should add some experience to the side as we still have about nine of our players, including the likes of Mark Rostron and skipper Paul Lyons, out injured," said the Bacup chief.

Bacup enjoyed only their second win of the season midweek -- a 4-1 win over Oldham Town -- which came on the back of six successive losses and Peter's is hoping this will kick start their season.

"We started slow last season, it took until the end of September for us to get going, and we still finished fifth so hopefully, history will repeat itself." Bacup are at home to Formby tomorrow.
