The was a barbecue, disco, dancing display and raffle at The Lychgate Restaurant in Sunnyhurst, Darwen. Proceeds, expected to top £500, will go to MacMillan Cancer Relief. A competition to guess the name of the cottage offered prizes of a £40 voucher for Cameo Cutting Shop in Darwen and a meal for two at the Lychgate.
