TWO Preston tennis players will be gracing the lawn at Wimbledon later this year, after serving their way to victory in the local heats of the Save The Children Fund tennis tournament.
Angela McNeela and Dee Walker will travel to Wimbledon to play in the national finals in October after beating runners up Liz Russell and Jane Hill in the regional matches held at Fulwood Tennis Club.
Organiser Francis Seth said they raised £600 from sponsorship after yesterday's play, and added: "It was great to be able to play tennis knowing we were raising valuable funds for the charity.
"Well done and good luck to both Angela and Dee when they go to Wimbledon to play in the finals."
