COLLEGE student Toby Canning has been awarded Housekeeping student of the year at a ceremony held at the Lancaster House Hotel this week.
Toby, aged 30, who studies at Lancaster & Morecambe College, was presented with the award for the best student on the NVQ Level 2 Housekeeping course by college principal, David Roddam.
The hotel management were so impressed with Toby's work placement at the Lancaster House that they offered him a permanent job as soon as he finished his course.
