DERBY House and Lunepark Tenants & Resident Association in Lancaster organised an extraordinary general meeting on Wednesday to discuss concerns about the new millennium bridge and cyclepath. The tenants and residents fear parking and traffic problems once the new bridge is opened and they claim the council has not listened to them.
They are also upset at council plans to build a cyclepath along Lune Street and in between the two council tower blocks. A spokesman said: "The council said they would consult us every step of the way but they don't want to listen to what we have to say. The plans they've come up with are absolute rubbish and we're very disappointed.
"We're not prepared to let the council just do what they want around here, probably badly designed and on the cheap, without considering the wishes of tenants and residents."
