RAMSBOTTOM UNITED wait for a fitness check on striker Steve Orrell ahead of tonight's Floodlit Trophy tie at Prescot Cables.
Orrell injured an ankle in a training session held on Saturday after the Rams North West Counties Division One game against Nantwich was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
The Rams will welcome back Danny Goodall from suspension and fellow midfielder, Dave Yorke-Robinson also returns after recovering from a knee injury.
United will be keeping their fingers crossed in the hope that the weather improves sufficiently for Saturday's FA Vase game against Easington to go ahead at the Riverside.
The Northern League outfit have hit a run of form after a poor start that yielded just two wins from seven games. In their last three outings, however, they have scored eight goals and conceded none, beating Whitby 1-0 in the FA Cup, Seaham 3-0 in the Vase and Chester-le-Street 4-0 in the league.
