YOUNG businesswoman Claire Hanlon has her sights set on a star-studded future after winning the Bury Young Enterprise award with her company Zodiac.
The 17-year-old Bury Grammar girl also came top of the class in a competition to spot business leaders of the future, with the best results in the North West.
Claire, of Ringley Road, Whitefield, had a business plan to sell fashion accessories but first she needed capital.
Merchandise for the venture was bought with money raised from a series of one-off events including a volleyball match, talent show and fashion show.
Goods sold under the zodiac theme included mobile phone covers, handbags, key rings, and hair bobbles.
After clinching the award, Claireis looking to a future in the hotel business.
She intends to do a business studies course in Dublin and hopes to own a chain of hotels.
