ANTI-JEWISH posters which warn of bombings against Israelis have been discovered 100 yards from a Whitefield synagogue.

Four hate posters were found on cardboard boxes tied to fencing in Park Lane, near the junction with Pinfold Lane.

Now, the material is undergoing forensic examination by police officers.

The posters were discovered on the fence at 6.45am yesterday (Mon Oct 16).

The location is yards away from a Whitefield synagogue and a housing development where many Jewish residents live.

Earlier this year, anti-Jewish graffiti and posters were put up near synagogues in Prestwich and Whitefield.

In the latest incident, one of the hate messages read: "No peace, only war. Bomb bomb Israel. Only another Holocaust. Kill. Khilafah movement will stop Israelis. Israelis beware. You are a target."

A police spokesman said: "The posters were found on four cardboard boxes tied to a fence.

"They were discovered at 6.45am. Presumably they had been put up the previous evening or during the early hours of Monday."

If the material is deemed to incite racial hatred, then an offence would have been committed say police.

Anyone with information is asked to ring Whitefield police or Bury's operational police unit on 856 8149.
