GIRLS of all ages have been taken on at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, in West Park Road, Blackburn, for the first time.
Sixth form females have attended the school for just over a year, but younger girl students started in September. To mark the occasion there was a special opening evening for parents.
Visitors were treated to practical demonstrations from all departments throughout the school.
Bilal Ali, 16, is pictured showing Guy and James Wadsworth, 10, and Helen Keely his experiment.
