BLACKBURN College students were on a fund-raising mission at their annual enrolment.
As they signed up for their courses, the students raised £540 for the Christie's Against Cancer appeal.
The cash was raised when each donated their £5 college fee to the cancer-fighting good cause. And to make sure the day got off to a flying start, organisers of the event sent up some entertainment for the fund-raisers with bouncy castles, clowns, performers and the borough's band.
College principal Sheena Ewing, right, is pictured with marketing manager Paul Mason, presenting a £540 cheque to Margaret Maffey, chairman of the appeal's East Lancashire Fund-raising Group.
