IN THE last three days nine cars parked on the Ridge estate have had their manufacturer's badges stolen.
The police believe children are behind the thefts, which have caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to some of the cars.
They have appeal to parents and teachers to look out for children who may be collecting the badges.
Cars parked on Langdale Road and Keswick Road have been targeted and the makes and models or cars that have been affected include two Jaguars, two Alfa Romeos, a Vauxhall Vectra, a Ford Fiesta, a Renault and a Nissan Micra.
If you have any information about the theft of these badges call the police on 63333.
