A GRIME-BUSTING project to ban the grot-spots of Crawshawbooth is battling for a winning place in this year's Grimewatch environment awards.
Members of the village community, traders, councillors and Round Table members have all mucked in to get involved in the clean-up scheme. The programme, which began in November last year, set out to restore the village square to its former beauty.
It will then target other eyesores around the area.
The project will be ongoing for the forseeable future.
