THE ninth event in the Chorley Millennium Series, Sunday's Multi Terrain Race around Astley Park was one of the toughest, using hazards like streams. Blackpool veteran Paul Muller was an easy winner in 21:48, with Neil Tattersall of Hyndburn a minute and a half back and Michael O'Donnell from Chorley AC third. Chorley AC featured strongly with Paul Corlett 7th and Nathan Lawton and Lisa Richardson winning the junior classes. Janet Pound was 1st L40, while flying the flag for Chorley Harriers were Claire Goulden, 1st L35, and Sarah Scarrott 3rd lady. Blackburn Harrier Carole Kay won the L45 section.
