PATIENTS who suffer from circulation problems are set to benefit thanks to a £1,500 donation to a local hospital.
Accrington Victoria Community Hospital received the donation from medical cash provider HealthSure and is to be used to buy diagnostic equipment for use in the Podiatry Department.
The equipment is important in assessing vascular flow to the feet in patients who have poor circulation, such as those with peripheral vascular disease or diabetes.
In addition Communicare NHS Trust has bought an Injectable Training Arm and a Suture Practice Arm for use by the District Nursing Service.
Mr Ken Johnson, chief executive of the trust, thanked HealthSure for the donation. He said: "Their generosity will enable the trust to provide an even better service for our clients and patients throughout the years to come."
