IMPROVEMENTS made by an East Lancashire firm to one of its subsidiaries has boosted its capacity to provide specialist treatment to metal surfaces.
Brookhouse Aerospace, a member of Darwen-based Brookhouse Holdings, carried out the improvements to its surface treatment plant at its site in Hyde, Tameside.
New machinery such as a plating plant, spray booth and vacuum blasting cabinets has been installed.
The new treatment plant will boost Brookhouse Aerospace's capacity to deal with contracts from its aerospace clients, especially in the manufacture of parts from aircraft skin panels and frames to engine mountings and floor structures.
The site also deals with other companies within the Brookhouse Holdings group.
