FORMER Burnley professional Jo Angel is looking for a return to league cricket next summer.

The 32-year-old Australian pace bowler, who took 115 league wickets and scored 629 runs in his two seasons as paid man at Turf Moor in 1993 and 94, is on the look-out for a professional post and would be interested in a return to the Transco Lancashire League.

Angel, Chorley pro in the 1998 season before returning home early due to a family bereavement, is the third highest wicket-taker for Western Australia with his 308 first-class victims putting him behind just Dennis Lillee (323) and Terry Alderman (384) in the all-time list.

Any clubs interested in speaking with Angel should contact Paul Spencer on 01282 839329.
