THERE has been terrible flooding in many parts of England, torrential rain, no electricity supplies for thousands and two tornadoes, causing massive destruction.
What more horrendous misfortunes could hit the British people?
Yet, not a word from our Prime Minister, Mr Blair.
Not a word showing sympathy for the people who have seen their livelihoods, homes and possessions ruined.
Yet, when there is flooding abroad -- the British Government sends millions of pounds in aid.
What are they going to do to help the poor British people who are still under siege -- with more heavy rainfall to come?
One word of sympathy would be a start.
KATHLEEN BULCOCK (Mrs), Wilkie Avenue, Burnley.
