A GLIMPSE of yesteryear was on offer last Saturday with a celebration of bus design from the last 100 years.
Bury Transport Museum was the venue for a special display of buses from the last century, with a similar exhibition at the Manchester Transport Museum.
Among those captivated by the vehicles were Mr Bob Fletcher, his daughter Carolyn Beaumont, and her children Jody, aged 3, Greg, aged 5, and Max, aged 2. (pictured)
Vintage buses were laid on to provide a free service between the two sites and passengers could step back into travel in the past. These included old Yelloways coaches and green corporation buses from Bury.
Paul Williams was one of the volunteers from the museum who organised the display.
He said: "It was very successful, we had a lot of visiting buses from across the country. The buses and coaches travelling between the sites were very popular.
"A lot of people put in a big chunk of their weekend to make sure it all went off well."
