HELP the Aged has launched a hard-hitting campaign after a survey revealed one in six people in the North West felt trapped in their own home. They have teamed up with British Gas to launch a "Free Our Old Aged Prisoners" campaign. The survey revealed people on low incomes or with long-standing illness are three times more likely to feel isolated as older people in general.
