SIX Radcliffe Swimming Club members recently competed in the Warburton's Children's Triathlon held at Turton High School in Bolton.
The event consisted of a continous swim, cycle and run of varying distances depending on the age category.
Although the weather stayed fine on the day, previous heavy rain had left the cycle and run course in an atrocious condition.
In many places the ground was so soft, it was easier to push the bikes than ride them.
Despite the conditions, all the Radcliffe competitors did very well. In the nine-10 category Scott Evans finished first, Louis Szymanski was second and Christopher Long came home fifth.
Laura Evans finished first in the 10-11 year age group and Joanne Long was third.
Finally, in the 12-14 category, Lee Szymanski was ninth.
