BLACKBURN Hawks could be forgiven for feeling over-confident about tomorrow night's English National League fixture when Bradford Bulldogs cross the Pennines to provide the opposition.

Exactly a month ago, the Hawks travelled to Yorkshire and overwhelmed the Bulldogs, running out 14-0 winners. Goalkeeper Colin Downie enjoyed the rare delights of a shut-out.

The Hawks, currently enjoying a rich vein of form, will be looking to make it five league wins in a row at the expense of the league's whipping boys, but coach Bobby Haig is advising caution.

He says: "We are looking to give everyone a nice time, and to get a result. But I am not taking anything for granted. We will be at full strength and not taking any risks."

Meanwhile, a hastily arranged challenge match has been arranged for tonight, away at Kingston Jets. For this one, Haig is obliged to take a reduced squad including several inexperienced players.

"They wanted a challenge game and we agreed to help out," he explained. "In return they will visit us on November 25. Unfortunately, many of my players are unable to travel due to commitments, so it will be even tougher than usual."

Early this season an injury depleted Hawks side lost a league clash at Kingston 14-1, but three weeks later shot down the Jets in the return at the Arena, emerging 6-3 winners.
